2014; The Year It Was

Hello readers! I don't know how else to start this post so just let me greet you a Happy New Year first!!! I hope everyone had a great vacation and quality time with your loved ones. (I sure had!) I've been meaning to write this post earlier (than today) but I was too preoccupied with watching Hunter X Hunter. My favorite quote:

I'm a little bit sad that the anime ended already because the writer, according to news, is currently battling back pain and had undergone surgery. I hope and pray he recovers soon.

So.

This post would be some kind of a recap of all the (important) things that happened the previous year. This has been a tradition (sort of?) here in my blog and you may read my entries for the last three years here: 2011, 2012 and 2013.
January: This month had been a turning point for me. I decided to leave my previous job for another job. It was a chance I didn't want to just let go. There are times when I still think if I made the right choice but if there's one thing that I am sure of, it's that I am happy where I am now. I met new people and learned (a lot of) new things. I became aware of the condition of our people in the community and was able to help the best way I can. You may read the start of my journey here and the rest of it here.

February: My month. I celebrated my twenty-something birthday with the best friends I have. I may not have a lot of friends, yeah, but I do have great real ones. I've known them since high school and though we only see each other when time permits, nothing changes.

I also got a sponsor this month and won something from a giveaway. lols. Lucky me, eh? :)

March: Oh well. I don't remember any significant thing that happened that month except that I made an Ask.fm account. haha. In relation to work, we did a Rapid Coverage Assessment on selected households in our municipality. It was a very tiring task I must say!

April: I was finally able to verify my Paypal Account! Thus, I was able to withdraw my accumulated earnings from this blog. It wasn't that much, but still. :)

May: I've been really busy with work, I think. I didn't have a chance to write anything except for my monthly journal.

June-July: Paper works here and there. Busy. Busy. Busy. That's all.

August: For the first time in forever, I was finally able to cash out earnings from Google Adsense! I'm not really after the earnings so it kinda took me two-long-years. haha. But I'm hoping that I'll be able to reach the  minimum cash out rate again this year. In 6 more months perhaps? :)

September: I've never been so terrified this year than when I almost Sam. He's my dog just so you know. He got out of the house and we never knew in which direction he ran off. I was really on the verge of crying but thanks be to God that my father found him in the neighborhood. Turns out, he visited some of his "enemies" there. lols.

We also spent the whole month of September vaccinating children. It's for DOH's campaign dubbed as "Ligtas Tigdas."

October: We worked hard to vaccinate children with Measles-Rubella vaccine. "Ligtas Tigdas" was extended this month and we literally walked around each barangay to reach our targets. I seriously got darker during this month!

November: We visited our grandparents' grave this month. Growing up, I didn't get to spend much time with them because we live in a different municipality. We only visit them during Christmas and special occasions. That's why until now, it doesn't feel like they've gone to heaven already. I can still picture my Lolo waiting for us in their terrace and my Lola cooking in the kitchen. Maybe they still do, in heaven. :)

December: Holidayyyys!!! This is the longest vacation I ever had since I started working. Srsly! :p I was able to spend it well with friends and family. We spent a simple Christmas celebration in my cousin's place and new year in our home. No pictures though.

You see, though I spent most of my time at work, 2014 was surely packed with awesome experiences! I learned a lot and grew as a person. I am looking forward to more happy moments this 2015 and if God allows, lovelife po! hahaha. :) *Cheers!*
